OLE II is entering its final stage with implementation.
Published Tuesday 2nd of March 2010
Mid February all project groups met in the Faeroes for planning and a kick off into their final stage of the project. The 2 day conference was indeed a success, both for its outcome as well as for interesting visits arranged by our hosts, Nearverkid and Faroya Kommunufelag.
The conference was opened by the transnational project leader, Marianne Pedersen of Luleå Municipality.
Opening from the Faroese hosts was Ms. Rosa Samuelsen, Minister of Social Affairs.
All projects presented their work and results achieved this far. Interesting to note was that all groups had been able to develop many fields that will have a true transnational impact.
One important focus during the conference was naturally our transnational products and new services. This has been and is an important issue for the success of our project.
Already by mid April all project groups will present their first product drafts with a full transnational focus.
Adding to the success of the conference was not the least that our hosts also gave all delegates a fantastic weather; the sun was shining the whole time.
The Faeroes will definitely be visited again.
